"Wow this place is a real gem! It is even better than the photos depict and the location must be The Best in Perranporth! The cottage is full of character and charm and furnished to a very high standard with a large decking area and a balcony overlooking the beautiful beach."    April '17

  • I came across this lovely cottage in Perranporth by chance when looking for somewhere to stay with my adult children near to my son and his family who live nearby and I am so glad we booked it for Easter this year. It is in the perfect location with easy access to the beach and cliff path as well as a stones throw from the village . We even spotted a minke whale just off the coast, confirmed with telephoto!
The cottage is very cosy and charming, beautifully clean and looked after, with lots of space to spread out in and kitted out with everything you could possibly need. We couldn't make use of the big table on the deck looking out over the sea until the last day when the sun came out but I can imagine in summer it is a lovely place to watch the world go by on the beach below.
The only small draw back is parking as we were too nervous to park a car in the garage , but that says more about our driving. We did reverse up as suggested and unloaded and then found space up at the top of the hill in the car park and on the road although the signs are confusing implying that you can't park over night. However we did park overnight and paid through RINGO extending time via the app from the house so all very easy and so far we haven't got a ticket!
There are plenty of places to eat, buy delicious pasties and ice cream and a brilliant butcher as well as a choice of coffee shops and pubs.
We took our grandchildren along the new cycle path from the big Coop, a great route along the little river. All in all a real gem.

  • Another fabulous stay at Cliff House! It really is a home from home with everything you need for a spotlessly clean, comfortable stay. We couldn't peel ourselves away from the views and enjoyed long leisurely breakfasts staring out the window! We really appreciate how close it is to the beach, good restaurants and pubs as well as the supermarket. Heading off for a pasty or some surfing was a daily pursuit we all thoroughly enjoyed, even the dogs! Thank you Debs and Amy for a wonderful holiday. We're looking forward to staying again next year!

  • Another blissful week...Sun sand sea and superb accommodation back at Cliff House. Well appointed, spotlessly clean from top to bottom, great for all the family including the dog, easy and secure check in and excellent communication with host and housekeeping team. My only reservation in recommending is that others also discover the joy of the place and it makes it harder to book again 😀 As always a resounding 10 out of 10.

  • Another idyllic and relaxing week in this beautiful cottage. Just can't get enough of the ever changing sea and sky. Wonderful walks, fantastic surfing and lots of pasties consumed! Very happy family of five plus cocker spaniel. Didn't feel the need to stray very far beyond Perran. Just love it here.

  • We enjoyed another week at Cliff House, the cottage was very well presented again. We were blessed with outstanding weather for October much to the delight of our Boxer Harley who spent every day chasing her ball in the sea. We've booked again for another week in March.

  • This is our 6th stay at Cliff House, and it never disappoints! The cottage is beautifully presented every time we stay, all the comforts of home. A few steps from the beach and all the local amenities. Couldn’t ask for more. Booked again for this year.

  • We are so fortunate to have been able to spend our summer holiday in Perranporth at Cliff House over the last few years. With fabulous views over the beach and a central location the house is just perfect, it is equipped with everything you might need with plenty of room for all the family and is always beautifully cleaned and presented - we cannot wait to return!!!

  • We recently enjoyed another wonderful week at Cliff House. Our 4th stay, a little different for us this time as the 3 previous visits have been during the winter months. We love the cottage and it’s position and were keen to try a summer break.
We are usually a family of 5 adults plus 2 small dogs . This time we invited just 2 good friends to come with us for a week in June to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a week of lovely sunny weather so we really appreciated the spacious outside decking area with great views looking across to the beach. We enjoyed many great beach walks especially the one towards St Agnes stopping at the Driftwood Spars, Trevaunance Cove for lunch.
Cliff House is always spotlessly clean, very well equipped, cosy and comfortable in a great location. Perfect for holidays any time of the year.

  • We have just returned from a totally wonderful three week holiday staying at Cliff house (July 1-22nd 2022) . It was our first time visiting the cottage but not our last as we are already booking for next year! We are a family of six ( two boys and two girls aged 16yrs to 22yrs) and we all loved staying as much as each other. The cottage is even better in real life than the photo gallery pics! The setting is the cottage is incredible as it’s less than a half minute walk to the beach and the views from the terrace, garden, upper balcony and rooms of the beach and surrounding countryside are all spectacular and ever changing. Our youngest loved the fact that you could get sun in the garden from first thing until sunset and spent a lot of time in and out of the waves and reading in various places in the garden! The cottage felt both spacious and cosy. It was immaculately clean on arrival ( after a long drive from Scotland this was most appreciated) and the beds were super comfortable. I loved being able to get a long bath after a day in the waves and the children took advantage of the wetsuit outdoor showers ( very useful!). We had incredible weather the whole three weeks as it was dry and sunny and we spent nearly all our days on the beach - walking the dog in the evening we enjoyed some amazing sunsets. The watering hole bar on the beach was also frequented and we enjoyed many al fresco meals on the cottage terrace overlooking the beach. We couldn’t really recommend it highly enough.

Perranporths little town has everything you will need ,supermarket, coffee shops and bakery’s .We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend booking . What are you waiting for ??? . ….you will not be disappointed ….

  • Our first visit and we fell in love with both the house and Perranporth. Such a charming, comfortable, immaculately clean and thoughtfully practical place to stay with stunning views of the ever changing sea and sky scapes to enjoy from the house or the garden or the terrace. Amazing! Very happy family of five (incl. 4 novice surfers) and a petite crocker. We definitely wish to return!

  • This is our first time at Cliff House and certainly won't be our last, wow what a fantastic location and fab accommodation, our Boxer Harley loved the underfloor heating on cold evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Perranporth doing not much but beach walking.
Must say that the Tywarnhayle was very good for food.
Looking forward to our next week at Cliff House.

  • We spent Christmas at Cliff House and had a fabulous time with the family and was magical for the kids, who loved all the decorations throughout the house, not to mention the personal touches left by Debs. This is the second time we have stayed at Cliff House and have enjoyed it so much, the location is just spot on and a stone throw from the beach which both the kids and the dogs love. The house is beautifully furniture, well equipped and was spotless on arrival. Would highly recommend staying here for a perfect family holiday

    — Sarah , 02 Feb 2022
  • Cliff house is simply wonderful. What Debs has created here is something very, very special. More than just a delightful holiday cottage - it feels more like a home away from home, with so many personal touches and bursting with character. Housekeepers, Nikki and Roger were also incredibly helpful. I loved learning to cook with the Aga (also making the cottage cosy and toasty on cooler November evenings). Film nights on the ‘big screen’ in front of the wood burner were such a treat. It’s a fabulous location, so close (5 minute walk) to both the beach and the coastal path. The day was not complete without a good long stroll along the 3 miles of pristine beach at low tide. Dog friendly all year round. Sand, sea and big sky! Simply magic watching and hearing the waves roll in. The village of Perranporth itself is also quite a delight. The butcher (M Chapman & Sons) in particular is fantastic and the local co-op very convenient and well stocked – to experiment on the Aga! If cooking is not your thing, there are plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes. I also spent happy hours in the many galleries displaying wonderful modern and traditional Cornish art - both browsing and acquiring... I will definitely be back! It’s a perfect seaside location and off-season, it’s wonderfully tranquil with fewer people about.

  • This will be our 5th time at Cliff House, so I can safely say that the property is brilliant.
On the beach with fantastic views. Good Cliff walks.
The cottage is packed with features, cozy, warm and all the utilities that you need. Home from home.
Booked again for later this year, only came back yesterday !

    — Julie oakley, 04 Jan 2022
  • We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in this cosy, spotlessly clean home from home cottage. There was plenty of room, it was very well equipped and in the perfect location for spectacular walks on the beach and for popping in to town. Thank you for the homely, welcoming touches!

    — Andrea Fowlds, 24 Oct 2021
  • This was our second trip to Perranporth in two years and this time we wanted to be much nearer the fantastic beach. Cliff House was in the most perfect location and the views from the balcony and terrace were fantastic. The cottage is full of character, spotlessly clean, the beds are really comfortable and the rooms cosy. We loved the projector for watching the Euros 2020 football and Wimbledon! The kitchen is well equipped and the ensuites and ground floor shower, in particular, were great! My young adult children hired surf boards from Ticket to Ride a minute from the cottage and surfed most days. The dog loved her beach walks and lazing in the sun on the terrace and my elderly mum thought she was in paradise with a cup of tea and a newspaper on the balcony. Cliff House is up a slope and has a few steps but my active 82 year old mother found it fine. We would definitely stay here again and really, really, loved it!

  • We have just spent an amazing week at the cottage - 2 adults, 4 teenagers (16-18 years old) and 2 dogs. The cottage is fabulous with lovely touches. The teenagers loved the projector and I loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The best location possible in Perranporth. The cottage was spotlessly clean and although check in isn't until 6pm, the cleaners messaged me at 3pm to say the cottage was ready - unfortunately we were stuck in traffic at this point. We will definitely be back! Thank you Debs & Co for making it such an special place!

  • We have just had the most wonderfully relaxing break at Cliff House. With family in St Ives we are very familiar with Cornwall but hadn’t been to Perranporth for many years and loved it. Unlike nearby Padstow you get the feeling that Perranporth hasn’t really changed too much over the years. We also loved St Agnes up the road (the Bakery is excellent). The house is perfectly located, close enough to stroll to the beach, pop into town for meals and fantastic walks on the doorstep. We decided not to bring our 2 (now 3!) dogs but the house and situation is perfect for those who do. We travelled with our daughters who are 19 and 21 and they particularly loved that they could get enough nightlife without having to drive, surf and relax with a film on the projector. The house has everything you need, Debs and her wonderful caretakers have thought of everything, including comfortable beds (always a bonus!). A very special gem that we hope to return to next year.

  • We have just returned after a fabulous week at Cliff House. The location could not have been any better. For at least ten years now we have been visiting Perranporth and have had a variety of local accommodation, Cliff House has been the best! The house is beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean. Full of character with all the mod cons, we loved the projector in the main lounge instead of a TV.
The location works so well for our teenagers who love to surf & have their independence around the town.
We are looking forward to returning next year. Cliff House is a home from home.

  • There is something very special about this holiday cottage. It is so well equipped and and laid out that you find yourself feeling completely at home as soon as you arrive.
The booking process is easy, reassuring re any Covid cancellation type concerns and Debs couldnot be more helpful.
Little things make a big difference here: like plenty of space for the countless coats and boots, the welcoming warmth of the Aga on arrival, a drying-off den for the dog, a comfortable sinky-sofa next to the log burner and in these uncertain times the attention to cleanliness was really reassuring.
We visited during Storm Alex in October and the house was cosy and dry and a perfect spot from which to watch the wild weather, with sea foam flying over the house like snowflakes! Happy times were spent at the large table in the family room watching the world go by and playing cards before dashing out for another bracing walk!
We even had a mini-Christmas celebration during our stay just in case we didn’t get a chance to meet up as a family in December, and arrived to find the tree up and decorated ready for us!
Thank you so much for everything, we can’t wait to come back x

  • Stayed twice already and just booked again.
The cottage is beautiful, has everything you need to hand and more.
Minutes from the beach and the Watering Hole !!
Excellent all round, would recommend it to anyone.

  • 16th-30th July 2019

We're frequent visitors to Cornwall but this was a new location and cottage for us and it was perfect. Two teenagers, dog and parents all happy. Early morning/late evening dips in the sea were an advantage of being a 5 minute stroll from the sea. Our days were spent along the coastal path - great walks from the house in both directions (always ending in pubs/cafes) and we also drove to new starting points to do more walks - Bodmin Moor, Crantock Beach, Poltreath, St Ives. Perranporth is busy, the town beach was always bustling - but a 10 minute walk along takes you to the massive stretch of Perran Sands, always quieter and extremely beautiful. There are enough pubs and restaurants to keep everyone happy in Perranporth itself, so nobody had to be 'nominated driver', but we did enjoy a couple of meals at the fantastic Schooner Inn in Trevaunance Cove - well worth the 1.5 hour walk along the coastal path to get there.
The house itself is a home from home, spotless, well equipped and comfortable - with a sunny garden for breakfast and a fabulous projector set up for evenings or rainy days (although we had 14 days of sunshine). Wi-fi connection excellent for all of those with concerned teenagers.....
The dog is already looking at future bookings - he was welcome pretty much everywhere and the beaches in this area of Cornwall are generally dog friendly, even in summer. Perranporth's summer restrictions mean a lead is necessary 10-5pm but outside those hours they run free and that's when he was walked.
As for bookings/ongoing communications, Debs is wonderful to deal with - every question quickly answered and nothing too much trouble.

  • Cliff House is a beautifully maintained holiday home in Perranporth, we have just returned from a 2 week stay. This was our 5th year in Perranporth and our best find.

The cottage is perfect for outside entertaining, with 2 raised areas of decking having great views of the beach. This is a wonderful sun trap where you can hang out your wetsuits and washing to dry off. The decking gets the sun all day !

All the furnishings are of a high standard with settees and beds extremely comfy. The white goods are decent makes and nothing feels ‘holiday home’ quality. The kitchen is full of the bits and pieces you can often forget such a cling film, bin bags, dishwasher tablets. The knives are sharp !! Unlike other holiday properties the drawers and cupboards aren’t full of odd bits other guests have left, at Cliff House they have been stocked up for you. There is very much a home from home feeling. The house was immaculate ! But if you fancy doing some cleaning there are range of items to choose from; such as hoovers, handheld vacuums.

The second lounge on the first floor has a very relaxing feel to it, you can look out from its balcony and check the surf before heading down to the beach.

We have 2 dogs and the house lent itself so well. There was a retractable child gate across the entrance porch, this was ideal for the dogs to be behind at night time, or to stop them coming in if they were wet from the beach. Dog bowls and poo bags were also provided.

The cottage is just by the beach and you hear the hum-drum noise in the back ground of music occasionally from the Watering Hole beach bar or a few voices from people leaving the Seiners Arms late at night.

We were fortunate enough to meet Debs and her family soon after they had renovated the cottage and had a sneak preview a couple of years ago. Debs has been completely ‘on it’ when replying to emails, answering any queries promptly and being more than helpful.

We loved our 2 weeks at Cliff House and would book back in in a flash but the cottage has low doorways and staircases and unfortunately my husband is 6ft 5 and did spend a lot of our holiday rubbing his bruised head. I don’t think we will find any where as nice to stay in Perranporth, myself and the kids are very sad that we won’t be rebooking for next year.

  • We were fortunate enough to spend a week here in June with family and we had a lovely stay. The cottage was way more spacious than we had anticipated. We had 6 adults, a child and a dog at for some of the stay and we were not crowded - even though the weather kept us mainly indoors. There was everything you could need available, from appliances to tea. The garden was gated and the dog and child could play easily, there was ample seating and lovely views of the beach from here - we would however have enjoyed a BBQ, since that's what we love to do, which is not available and could be considered as an addition. [Owner comment: Thank you for raising this, we do not provide a BBQ as many of our guests are families with young children and dogs, and we feel we must put their safety first 🤗⛱]

We enjoyed a daily walk on the beach (even in the rain) and the dog had lots of space to play here. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and we highly recommend Summer House for dinner.
There are plenty of things to do around the area. We were not blessed with great weather, but still managed to have lots of fun. I recommend Healey's Cyder Farm for all, we spent pretty much all day here on a tour, tractor ride and enjoying the small farm and cafe available - it was fun for all of the family, big and small. We also visited the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan which were highlights.
The home owner was very responsive and helpful to any queries and made the booking very easy.

  • We have recently returned from a week in this amazing cottage which truly exceeded our expectations. There was more than enough space both inside and out for three generations consisting of four adults and two teens, it has everything you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. The cottage is a stones throw from the beach, pubs, shops and restaurants so a car is not necessary. The Strong family had been holidaying in the cottage the week before us so we were lucky enough to meet Debs who is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, so kind and helpful, she will do whatever she can to make your holiday a success. We would all love to return one day though we must stop telling people about it or we'll never get in!!!

  • We booked a very last minute short break at the Cliff House for 2 adults and our dog, and we had the most wonderful stay! Debs was so helpful all the way through our booking, offering lots of information about the house and nearby areas. The location is unbelievable, right on the beach front and the perfect location for both exploring and lazy beach days. The town of Perranporth is gorgeous, quaint and very dog friendly. The Cliff House was so clean, spacious and comfortable and we were provided with everything you could need for a fabulous stay. The kitchen was super well equipped (even though we ate out most of the time!), and we were provided with plenty of suggestions of things to do in advance, so we really didn't have to think about anything. We thoroughly enjoyed very moment of our stay and can't wait to return! Rachel, Matt & Maya xxx

  • We have recently spent our second Christmas at Cliff House. Our first was so good we had to repeat it !
We are a family of 5 plus 2 small dogs .
Cliff House is a wonderfully comfortable and cosy cottage situated in the perfect spot for exploring the amazing Perranporth beach and has everything you would need for either a summer or winter holiday .
There are good local shops and this time we enjoyed a very good meal at The Summer House which is just a short walk across the beach .
We would highly recommend this holiday cottage and hope to return again soon .

  • We have just come back from a wonderful 2 weeks at Cliff House. It was the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time. 20 second walk to the beach, we all love Perranporth beach and the dogs had a lovely holiday running on there twice a day. The kids went out into the surf everyday so the outside wetsuit shower was well used. Amazing views from outside and in. The house was beautiful and so well equipped and we loved having a projector lounge and a quiet lounge. Kitchen has everything you need and more, bathrooms are lovely, bedrooms comfy.
This house is so close to the town and the beach, it is perfect if you want a relaxing time in Perranporth. We rarely went out in the car as we felt we didn’t need to go anywhere else.
Owner is lovely and approachable and the housekeepers were lovely and friendly too and came to change bedding and towels part way through our stay.
We didn’t want to leave. Thanks Cliff House for a great holiday!

    — Emma Bottomley, 06 Sep 2018
  • We stayed at Cliffs House last week and all I can say is how magnificent it was. 6 adults, 3 children (5 yrs,2 yrs & 7 months) and a dog. The house was spotless on arrival and had everything you needed. The projector was a big hit after a long day of fun. There was plenty of room for us all. The children could not wait to explore and found the cottages higgledy piggledy nature so intriguing. The views from the balcony and terrace were so stunning-thinking about them still makes me smile and my boys keep asking when we can go back. Such a short walk to the beach and shops too. Perran Dairy has the most wonderful ice creams. We spent a lot of time in the sea and walking along the beach and cliffs. We even managed to prise ourselves away from Perranporth to visit the beautiful Eden Project. The beach was great for the dog too as there were certain areas and times she could be off the lead. We really hope to be able to come back again soon!!!

    — Claire Blakeman, 07 Aug 2018
  • We have just spent two wonderful weeks in Cliff House. We can honestly say that in all of the 40 years off and on that we have been coming to Perranporth on holiday this is by far and away the nicest place we have ever stayed (and we have stayed in most!) It was very much appreciated that the finish of the house is commensurate with the price you pay, which is not something you can always say is true unfortunately. Really well finished and with everything you need internally, however the terrace and that balcony are the stuff of dreams! I want to buy this house! Will definitely come back.

    — Gareth Sheekey, 27 Jul 2018
  • We have just spent two very enjoyable weeks at Cliff House and can honestly say that it has been one of the nicest cottages that we have ever stayed in. The house itself was immaculate, very well equipped and every comfort had been thought of by the owners. The situation overlooking the town and beach was amazing and many hours were spent on the sunny deck or balcony just watching the view. We had some great trips out to visit St.Ives, Padstow, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Helligan, Llanhydrock, Trelissick and best of all the gardens, Trebah. Most of which were to some extent dog friendly. Great food at The Willows Bistro which was also dog friendly. We had glorious weather, fantastic sunsets and a bonus of Jools Holland and his band performing at The Watering Hole on the beach. Many thanks to Dawn who looked after us. We hope to be back. Terry, Sue & Monty dog.

  • Wow, what an amazing cottage, thoroughly enjoyed our week, it exceeded our expectations, excellent location and views, Debs was so helpful with every detail / communication, cant wait to return.

  • We can’t recommend Cliff House enough - we have just had a wonderful week staying there it was just perfect. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, clean, quirky, with gorgeous decor and it is fitted with everything you could possibly want and more. The cottage’s location is just the best! It must have the best views from its balcony and decking area in the whole of Perranporth - truly breathtaking and literally in a couple of minutes walk you are on the gorgeous 3 mile dog friendly beach. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend our special family week away.

We will definitely be returning as soon as we are able - if we can book in after the amount of friends we have recommended it to!!

  • This cottage has it all. Beautifully renovated, tastefully decorated, thoughtful personal touches and the perfect location, looking out to the beach and the sea beyond. A great place to stay and you can be assured of a warm welcome. Many thanks.

  • Cannot fault this beautiful home and location. Our stay was over far too soon. The house is spotless and has absolutely everything you could need. The children loved having their own rooms at the top of the house where they could play and have their own space. The views and direct access to the beach were brilliant. Hope to be back someday.

  • The cottage was beyond our expectation, it is maintained to a very high standard, even down to appliances. The views from the lounge and bedroom across the beach to the sea are breathtaking, it is a tranquil haven from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, The cottage is steps away from the most beautiful dog friendly beach that is spotlessly clean, the town just a 2 minute walk away ...we feel like we've finally found somewhere we would love to return.
